## 1. What Breaststroke is
Breaststroke is a digital web application that calculates personalised calorie targets for postpartum women who are breastfeeding. It is a nutritional estimation tool based on published research.
Breaststroke is not a medical device. It is not regulated as a medical product. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

## 2. Who can use it
Breaststroke is intended for adults aged 18 and over who are postpartum and breastfeeding (or recently weaned).
By using the app, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
We strongly recommend speaking with your GP, midwife, or a registered dietitian before making any changes to your diet while breastfeeding, particularly if you have any existing health conditions.

## 3. Not medical advice
The calorie targets and recommendations provided by Breaststroke are estimates based on the Harris-Benedict equation (revised Mifflin-St Jeor, 1990), WHO breastmilk energy data, and published walking expenditure research.
These are estimates. Individual results vary. Breaststroke does not account for all factors that affect weight, metabolism, or milk supply.
**Nothing in this app or on this website constitutes medical advice.** If you experience a drop in milk supply, unexpected weight loss or gain, fatigue, or any other health concern, please contact your healthcare provider immediately.

## 4. Purchase and payment
Breaststroke is available for a one-time payment of €19 (inclusive of applicable VAT). There is no subscription or recurring charge.
Payment is processed securely RevenueCat.
Access is granted upon successful payment confirmation.

## 5. Refund policy
As Breaststroke is a digital product that is made available immediately upon purchase, you waive your right to the standard 14-day EU cooling-off period at the point of purchase, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).
**We do not offer refunds on completed purchases** unless the product is materially defective or not as described.
If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing the app, please contact us at hello@breaststrokeapp.com within 14 days of purchase and we will do our best to resolve it.

## 6. Intellectual property
All content within Breaststroke — including but not limited to the calculation methodology, app design, copy, affirmations, and brand identity — is the intellectual property of Abigail Neuteboom / Breaststroke.

## 7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Dutch and EU law, Breaststroke and its operator are not liable for:

- Any changes to milk supply
- Any inaccuracies in estimates due to individual variation
- Any loss of data stored in your browser's localStorage
Your use of Breaststroke is at your own discretion and risk.

## 9. Changes to the app or these terms
We reserve the right to update these terms, the app's features, or its pricing at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
We do not reduce the functionality of the app for existing paid users without reasonable notice.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
